We chose The Parrish Collection (operated by Jonathan “JP” Parrish) as our property management company because they were local and respected themselves as professional and competent. Our family’s experience with The Parrish Collection (I see their current Google review and Yelp ratings are two stars) has resulted in financial losses, lost guest relationships, and time. We encountered significant performance issues early in our contract, which did not resolve over time. Eventually, The Parrish Collection determined they could no longer provide the services promised and provided notice of termination. Incredibly, they then canceled (rather than transferred) already-booked reservations. Even more incredibly, they then refused to remove our listing from their account, making it impossible for us to move the listing to a new property manager. They held our listing hostage for 90 days on their platform and blocked our calendar from accepting new reservations beyond that 90-day period.

We repeatedly sought these booking records to understand the potential losses, which are substantial. However, The Parrish Collection has not provided these details, which we believe to be both uncooperative and against ethical business practices.
This review represents our opinion based on the experiences we faced during our contractual relationship with The Parrish Collection. We made efforts to resolve these issues without litigation which were unsuccessful. We are unfortunately having to file an arbitration case against them to pursue records and damages for our losses.
This is a cautionary tale to homeowners: Talk to a lawyer before engaging with Vacation Rental Agencies to find the good, the bad and the ugly. Review your local laws and have your contracts reviewed and amended by your attorney. These steps can save you tremendous time, money and stress.
